Parakite
Intro Session

Safety, guidance and fast progression — so you can make the most of the dune

Parakite is a discipline in its own right — fundamentally different from conventional paragliding. Even for an experienced pilot, certain wing reactions, wind management and take-off phases require real adaptation.

This is a new approach to flying, built around an innovative control system that acts directly on the wing’s angle of attack — higher speeds, three-dimensional manoeuvrability, dynamic handling and proximity flying.

An intro session is mandatory if you have never flown a parakite. With the right guidance, you’ll quickly go from “I’m fighting it” to “I’m absolutely loving this dune.”

Essential

Why this session is non-negotiable

Wind management, ground handling, active flying, positioning on the dune. The goal: fly safely while genuinely having fun.

What changes vs paragliding
  • Higher speeds, wider wind range
  • Less margin for error in strong wind
  • Ground control and slope positioning are critical
  • More dynamic take-off — precision and timing matter
Technical

Why the parakite holds in strong wind

Reflex profile: stability, collapse resistance, better penetration into the wind. But wing size and weight must be matched to the conditions — always stay within your limits.

What you must never do

  • Underestimate wind strength
  • Fall back on paragliding habits and reflexes
  • Take off without proper ground control first
  • Position yourself in turbulent or leeward areas
  • Overestimate your ability in strong wind
Programme

What the session covers
